The Release

Part of my Senior Project. My Project is an artbook and part of it is drawings done to a prompt given to me by my Mentor, . The prompt today was to envision a scene to a random song that's playing and to draw that scene.

To say the least, I love this picture.

I drew the prompt out of anger for something going on in my Choir class and the random song that came on was Evanescence's "What You Want", which greatly fit what I was feeling at the time and then I envisioned tearing up a room and just going wild and free - breaking away from the restraints that bind me lately and just releasing all this emotion.

And so this picture was born. It. Took. Hours. But I'm improving quite well with my art, I noticed. For one, shoes. Shoes. SHOES. I want those boots. They're a thousand times better than what I've ever done.

Then you add in that I'm getting better at anatomy and doing something wtih motion. I feel I've improved a lot from last year. It's odd.

A better example is the next picture I'll upload sometime this week. It's the first time I've drawn someone from behind and it looks nice (ESPECIALLY THE BOOTS. HOLY FUCK <3)
